This service will cancel your Alberta driver’s licence.

None

Documents Required:

Copy of valid government-issued photo ID for all registrant(s)

Email or written request that contains all the following information:

• Date
• Name
• Address
• Daytime telephone number
• Driver’s licence number or MVID
• Signature

Fee:

$9.00 – please note that this will be a separate fee paid to the registry and cannot be taken from your refund. Your refund will be a cheque issued by the government of Alberta to the address specified in your request. This will take approximately 3-4 weeks.
