Description of Service:
A Letter of Continuance Out of Alberta allows for a corporation registered in Alberta to continue into another jurisdiction.
Forms Required:

Documents Required:
A letter requesting the Continuance out of Alberta, can either be on company letter head or typed as long as it has the jurisdiction of where the company is continuing to and has original signatures.
**If the corporation wishes to continue to one of the following jurisdictions, the authorized representative of the corporation must submit an originally-signed and dated opinion letter.
- Quebec
- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
- Newfoundland
- Northwest Territories
- The opinion must state none of the shareholders or creditors will be adversely affected by the continuance pursuant to Section 189(1)(b) of the Business Corporations Act (RSA 2000).
- The opinion can be in the format of a letter and it must be from a director or authorized officer of the corporation, or the corporation’s legal representative.
- An opinion is not required when the corporation is continuing to:
- British Columbia
- Saskatchewan
- Manitoba
- Ontario
- New Brunswick
- Nunavut
- Yukon
- Canada
