What is a Corporate Search?

In Alberta, anyone can search a corporation, tradename or partnership registered in Alberta. This search will provide the status of the entity, the registered name, the company/tradename/partnership number, legal ownership and directors, records and registered address(es) and registration and filings dates. In addition to this preliminary information a company’s articles of incorporation, annual return information and/or other filings can be accessed with an additional request.

What is the Northwest Partnership Agreement (NWPTA)?

The New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) is a trade agreement between the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. It aims to create Canada’s largest, barrier-free, inter-provincial market.

The agreement focuses on four key areas:

  1. Trade: It ensures the free movement of goods, services, investment, and people within the three provinces.
  2. Investment: It provides a stable and predictable environment for investors.
  3. Labor Mobility: It allows workers to move freely between the provinces without additional certification or training requirements.
  4. Government Procurement: The agreement opens up government procurement processes to suppliers from all three provinces, promoting competition and reducing costs.

The NWPTA is designed to enhance economic growth and competitiveness by reducing barriers to trade and investment within the region.

  • Articles of incorporation from home jurisdiction
  • Certificate of Status/good standing from home jurisdiction
